Sarah & Alex | August 17th 2019 | Laurel Manor

Sarah & Alex had a full day of activity for their wedding day. A big reason for that was they got married in the their home church, which has only been the case a few times for me this wedding season. St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores was a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony.

From there we packed up and headed downtown for more photos before eventually ending the night at Laurel Manor in Livonia. We decided on The Detroit Public Library for a majority of the wedding photos. Lucky for us we were the only ones with that idea and were able to get through all of those photos quickly with no issue.

I personally really like using the library because it’s not quite as popular as the DIA, but it still has a very similar looking exterior that’s great for photos.

From the library we headed downtown to The Z lot. We weren’t alone here. We ran into at least 5 other bridal parties in the area. Sarah’s brothers were sure to make it clear they have their eyes on Alex. You’ll see what I mean when you go through the photos!

We ended pictures downtown with a quick run to the new Parkers Alley behind the Shinola Hotel. Since we were already there we couldn’t leave without having Sarah & Alex split an ice cream cone from Huddle and grab a few pictures.

After all the running around they ended up having to switch buses to get one with air, but that didn’t take long and they were able to have an air conditioned ride to the reception.

The party continued at Laurel Manor ending our day of going from the eastside from the westside. All that driving gave us the opportunity to grab some great photos downtown and that’s what they really wanted.

It was my pleasure to capture everything for them.

Congrats Sarah & Alex!
